To get to our elk hunting camp in the Thorofare we leave Cody, Wyoming and head southwest on a dead end road and travel by vehicle about 50 miles.  When we get almost to the end of the road, we park our trucks and get on horses and travel another roughly 20 miles by horseback.  At camp, you will be roughly 9 miles from the southeastern corner of Yellowstone National Park.
